General Questions

What are the entry requirements for international students?

Applicants typically need a valid passport, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic English proficiency. For specific language programmes, we may conduct a placement test to ensure you start at the right level.

How long does the student visa application process take?

The process usually takes between 4 to 8 weeks after we have received all your complete documents. We recommend starting your application at least 3 months before your preferred start date to allow for travel arrangements.

Are there any hidden fees in the programme cost?

We believe in total transparency. Our standard RM18,000 fee covers the two-year curriculum and basic visa processing support. Personal insurance, travel, and personal living expenses are not included and should be budgeted separately.

Program Content & Outcomes

Which English proficiency levels are covered in the curriculum?

Our comprehensive syllabus is designed to take students from absolute beginner (A1) to advanced proficiency (C1) levels. We use placement testing to ensure you are enrolled in the module that best matches your current ability and goals.

What specific skills are prioritized in the intensive program?

While we cover all core skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—our intensive program places high priority on communicative competence and academic writing to prepare students for the demands of university-level education and professional environments.

What kind of certification will I receive upon completion?

Upon successful completion of your program, you will receive an official UTM Certificate and a comprehensive academic transcript. These documents detail your CEFR level attainment and are recognized by our partner institutions for academic entry requirements.

Are there any cultural immersion modules included?

Absolutely. We believe language and culture are inseparable. Our curriculum includes 'Malaysian Life' modules that cover local etiquette, business culture, and practical communication strategies for navigating life in Kuala Lumpur safely and confidently.
